The importance of the Arts
Artists influence people’s lives in different ways. Their work is usually embedded in the culture of their region, be it a continent, a country or even a city. They inspire people to understand the culture and history of their country.
It is imperative that children learn to see familiarity in what they learn, to learn by association and relationship. When it came to introducing children to the many artists of the world, there was no better way to start than with our own local talent, Mr Ngaira Mandara. The children participated in a Q&A session with Ngaira and learnt some very valuable information.
